I’m back with some pictures for you because it’s a rather special day-one year ago today I switched to WordPress and launched my .com site.
By the way, I honestly have no idea what that title is supposed to mean. The image it conjures up for me is my brother in his Civil Air Patrol dress uniform (called ‘dress blues’) getting a sunburn. Which has absolutely nothing to do with this photoshoot, so feel free to ignore my harping and just look at the pictures.
I tried everything I could think of to get the glue and wig cap residue off of Michelle’s head before photographing her, but to no avail. So I made her a shortcut headband to hide the worst of it. Luckily, per Michelle having great taste in clothing, the headband works great along with the rest of the outfit.
The headband isn’t actually finished, hehe. Just a strip of fabric tied around her head because I’m a slacker.
Honestly, Michelle is such a cutie without her wig. I never thought that the Classic mold dolls looked all that appealing without hair, but the Josefina mold is darling with or without it. I wonder how the Jess mold looks?
*sigh* That glue residue…although the headband hides it pretty well, and I’m planning to crochet Michelle some soft and stylish hats to wear.
I have waited, I have waited, for you
To lay me down, oh

I’ll wait, I’ll wait, I’ll wait, I’ll wait for you
For you to lay me
Won’t you lay me down

Those freckles…so cute. I think Michelle/Grace is probably one of the most photogenic dolls ever. Definitely in the top five. What do you think?
The flowers Michelle is holding are called Black-eyed Susans, my state flower. I love the cheerful shade of yellow they are and the contrast with dark centers.
I was outside taking these photos and talking with my older brother, when he suggested; ”Hey, if your doll has Leukemia, is she going to die? You said you wanted your blog to be unique and stuff, and I bet nobody’s ever done THAT before.”
*brief silence in which I try to come up with a response”
”Well-you see-it’s kind of-that’s not-I don’t-you can’t just….No.”
