Birthdays and Beginnings

Happy birthday to me, I’m twelve officially….

You heard that right, cupcakes. Today I am 12. Twelve. A whole new year for living and growing and yes, blogging.

You guys have made 11 one of the best years of my life. I mean that. You all brought such joy to the inexperienced girl, who last February was snapping blurry pictures of her three dolls.

You still bring me such joy.

Every comment, every like, every follow. Every time, I smile.

I want to be able to share more of my life with you guys. I want be able to tell you about how my cat tried to eat my lizard when I was seven, how I tried to bake a batch of cookies but forgot the eggs, and whatever other little stories life brings, without them being off-topic.

So I have done two things.

Number one, I changed my gravatar profile. Now it has my first and middle name.

Number two, I started a second blog.

And I’m really excited.

I’d like you to say hello to Taking the Cake, my new lifestyle blog about living life with flair. I’ll be posting about fashion, my cats, recipes, photography, and life in general.

Check it out;

And if anyone wants to hear about how my cat nearly ate my lizard, I will happily tell them.

  2. Can you please tell me about how your cat nearly ate your lizard? (I will tell you the story that my friend told me about the kid who brought his gecko to school…)

    1. Sure! My lizard’s tank sat just below a shelf that normally had books on it. One day, though, we took the books off to dust it. When I came to feed my lizard that afternoon, I found my cat, hanging with his hind feet on the shelf, and his front paws in the terrarium (I have no idea how he got the lid off). He was trying to catch the lizard, but it had buried itself under the dirt in the cage. When my cat saw me, he literally somersaulted off the shelf and bolted out the door. My lizard was fine, but I put the books back on the shelf right away!
